Data Guarantee

What is covered

The Data Guarantee covers factual data displayed by MotoVet when that data is sourced from official UK government records and an error is caused by our processing or display of those records.

• DVSA MOT History, including MOT test dates, results, mileage, defects, and advisories.
• DVLA Vehicle Enquiry, including vehicle details, tax status, MOT status, and type approval.

What is not covered

AI-generated analysis is not covered. Health scores, mileage anomaly assessments, cost forecasts, defect pattern analysis, recommendations, and chat responses are advisory outputs, not guaranteed facts.

The guarantee also does not cover errors in the underlying DVSA or DVLA records, an incorrect registration entered by a user, or checks MotoVet does not provide, such as stolen status, outstanding finance, or insurance write-off history.

How to raise a data issue

Contact [email protected] with the report reference, the specific item you believe is wrong, and evidence of the correct record. We will investigate and explain what we find.

The Data Guarantee is capped at £5,000 per valid claim and is limited to one active claim per report. To claim, provide the report reference, the specific factual item you believe is wrong, evidence of the correct government record, and evidence of any direct financial loss caused by our processing or display error.
